Job Summary:
A Case Aide Worker in Child and Family Services provides support to caseworkers and families in managing cases related to child welfare, including abuse, neglect, and family services. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Help coordinate transportation for families to and from appointments when needed.
Collaborate with community agencies, schools, medical facilities, and other service providers to ensure the family receives needed support.
Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings with caseworkers, as needed.
Prepare and organize documentation for court reports related to the case.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Some college coursework in social work, child development, psychology, or a related field is preferred.

Job Summary:
The Prevention Supervisor in Child and Family Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of preventative programs and services designed to support at-risk families and prevent child abuse and neglect. This position is responsible for supervising a team of prevention staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, coordinating with community partners, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and agency policies.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
· Oversees the day-to-day operation of the unit including the supervision of all Prevention Service Workers assigned within the team.
· Ensures an initial plan including goals of service, time frames and review dates are documented and on file. This must be completed within thirty (30) days of case assignment.
· Provides regular coaching, supervision and direction on all cases.
· Completes case management forms and places in case management binder.
· Reviews and screens special rate requests before submitting them to the agency Special Rate Committee.
· Ensures Family Service Workers adhere to Provincial standards of monthly CIC face to face contacts and required forms are completed and entered on CFSIS in a timely basis (where
required).
· Ensures quarterly reviews (90) day reviews are completed and placed on file.

Qualifications:

· Minimum five (5) years of experience working directly in the child welfare profession.
· Minimum three (3) years of direct Supervisory experience within Child Welfare.
· Must have extensive experience in program development with proven ability in implementation.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Protection Supervisor will typically be in an office setting. The Protection Supervisor is frequently required to operate a computer, file and retrieve written documents, and work overtime when required or during emergencies. The physical demands include, but are not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, and bending. Some travel will be required.
The administration of employees and service demands can be emotionally challenging. As a result, this position is more emotionally challenging than physically challenging. Extended periods of sitting are required when performing administrative tasks and attending meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures effective delivery and monitors practices guided by relevant strategies to safeguard the children who are members of Waywayseecappo First Nation and involved with child welfare Agencies have their rights to their own culture and community protected and upheld.

After Hours Worker
The incumbent is responsible for providing emergency service, responding to crisis situations and emergent safety and protection matters for children and families outside the regular day time office hours of Waywayseecappo Child and Family Services Inc on the First Nations community of Waywayseecappo. The After Hours (On Call) Worker will ensure the safety of children in the short term.
Some Duties Include but not limited to:
Be available to respond to after-hours calls between the hours of 5:00 pm to 9:00am, Monday to Friday, weekends and holidays through phone call or field visit (fielding).
Responds to all calls courteously and in a timely manner.
Ensures all necessary information is gathered and documented as per standards.
Ensures confidentiality of information being received and that of the caller.
Ability to provide services that are in line with Federal and Provincial CFS legislation and standards and operate within WWCFS mandate.
Assess situation and identify services required to ensure the safety of the children with the least disruption to the family unit.
Will be responsible to create an intake on CFSIS (Child & Family Services Information System) on any new matters or significant situations as per standards and/or as directed by the main office supervisor or the intake/abuse unit.
Will record call(s) in a detailed case recording.
Must be knowledgeable of the Child and Family Services Information System/Intake Module (CFSIS/IM).
Other duties as may be assigned by After Hours Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 Diploma
Demonstrated understanding of and respect for the First Nations culture, traditions, and community values, particularly as they relate to child welfare and family dynamics.
Previous experience working within or in partnership with First Nations communities, especially in a child welfare, social services, or crisis intervention capacity.
Must have a valid Manitoba Drivers Licence, access to a vehicle and willing to travel.
Will provide a current Drivers Abstract.
Must pass Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
Ability to speak and/or understand the Ojibway language would be an asset.
Knowledge and respect of First Nations traditional culture and traditional philosophy.
